Der am 16. 07. 1968 geborene Schauspieler wurde bei uns durch seine Rolle des “Metzgers” von Terminus bekannt. Doch wirkte er auch in weiteren TV-Serien, wie z. B. Sleepy Hollow, Resurrection und Filmen wie z. B. Halloween II mit.
Wir möchten uns recht herzlich bei ihm bedanken, dass er sich während den Dreharbeiten Zeit genommen hat, um unsere Fragen zu beantworten.

Wer ist deine Lieblingsschauspielerin? / Who is your favorite actress?
AB: Ich glaube nicht, dass das irische Temperament meiner Frau es erlauben würde eine Lieblingsschauspielerin zu nennen. Und falls ich es dürfte, dann wäre es wohl Kate Beckinsale, denke ich. / Don’t think my wife would let me have a favorite actress! She’s got an Irish temper! If she did it would be Kate Beckinsale, I guess.

AB: Jetzt sollte ich Deutschland sagen, richtig? Die Leute waren dort so nett zu mir als ich dort spielte (Anm. des Rates: Adam spielte 1990 als Stürmer in Düren für den Verein Düren ‘99 Fußball). Italien mag ich auch. Da ich aber sehr patriotisch bin lautet meine Antwort die Vereinigten Staaten von der See zur anderen scheinenden See. / Gotta say Germany, right?! People were SO good to me when I played there! Also enjoyed Italy but I’m pretty patriotic ... so the US is my favorite country from sea to shining sea!

AB: Ich kann mich leider nicht mehr daran erinnern was wir gegessen hatten, tut mir leid! / Don’t remember what we ate, sorry!

Welche war die schlimmste Szene in der du mitgespielt hast? / What was the worst scene you played?
AB: Ich habe viele böse Jungs gespielt. Aber der Schlimmste war wahrscheinlich der Meth-Dealer Zeek in dem Film “Newborn County”. Und natürlich der Metzger! / I play a lotta bad guys but the worst was probably a meth dealer named Zeek in a movie called Newborn County. And the butcher of course!

Was war der gefährlichste Stunt den du machen musstest? What was the most dangerous stunt you did on your own?
AB: Ich bin im Winter in North Carolina in einen seichten felsigen Bach gefallen. / Fell into a shallow rocky creek in North Carolina in the winter!

Was hast du an deiner Rolle gemocht? / What did you like the most of the role you played?
AB: Ich mag alle Rollen die ich spiele aber ich muss sagen Komödien mag ich am liebsten. / I love ALL the roles I get to play but I have to say comedy is my favorite!

Was hast du am meisten an deiner Rolle gehasst? / What did you hate the most of the role you played?
AB: Ich mochte es nicht Burton Bomhoff in “The Real Reason” zu spielen, da ich sehr schäbig rüberkam. Und Burton so nicht ist. / Hated playing Burton Bomhoff in The Real Reason because I was very sleazy and Burton was not!

Was war das Lustigste was am Set passiert ist? What was the funniest thing that happened on set?
AB: Im Moment arbeite ich mit Danny McBride und so ziemich alles was tut ist das Lustigste, das ich je gesehen habe. / I’m working with Danny McBride right now and pretty much everything he does is the funniest thing I’ve ever seen!!

Hast du schon einmal darüber nachgedacht, dass so eine Zombie Apokalypse wirklich stattfinden könnte? / Have you ever thought about the fact that a zombie apocalypse could really happen?
AB: Nicht wirklich. Aber ich denke ich würde ok sein, ich bin ein Survivor. / Not really. I think I’d be ok though. I’m a survivor!

Mochtest du die Zombie Schule? / Did you like the zombie school?
AB: Ich bin nicht hingegangen! Ich hatte nur die eine Szene als Zombie also bekam ich einen Schnellkurs! / Didn’t go. Only had the one scene as a zombie so I got a crash course!

AB: Köstlich! / Delicious!

Wurdest du während dem Drehen verletzt? / Have you ever been hurt while filming?
AB: Nein! / Nope!

Wieviele Takes brauchtet ihr bis die Szene im Kasten war? How many takes does a scene normally take if it was ok?
AB: Das hängt vom Regisseur ab. Einige von ihnen wollen viel Material, anderen widerum ist es nicht so wichtig. Ich habe gewöhnlich zwei bis drei Takes gebraucht. / It depends on the director! Some of them like a lotta coverage and some don’t care. I’m usually two or three takes per set up.

Wenn du eine Sprechrolle hattest, wie lange brauchtest du um den Text auswendig zu lernen? If you have any text to say, how long did it take to learn it by heart?
AB: Es kommt darauf an wie es geschrieben ist. Falls es so geschrieben ist wie ich spreche, dann kann ich es mir sehr schnell merken! Falls nicht, brauche ich etwas länger. / Depends on how it is written. If it’s written the way I speak then I can memorize things very quickly! If not, it takes a bit more work!

Was war die größte Walker-Herde in der du mitgespielt hast? / How many walkers formed the largest herde of walkers you were in?
AB: Ich war nur in einer Herde, deswegen ... / I was only in one herd, so ...

Wie reagierte die Umgebung auf die Dreharbeiten? / How did the surrounding of the location react on the filming?
AB: Sie haben uns gänzlich ignoriert! Es gab Leute die kamen vorbei um Autogramme zu bekommen, aber was die Einheimischen angeht, wussten die nicht wirklich was abgeht. / Completely ignored us! There were people who stopped by to get autographs but as far as the locals they didn’t really know what was going on!
